Scholarship Opportunities in Korean Studies Undergraduate Program
  
Scholarships at Ewha
 
Ewha Global Partnership Program (EGPP)
 
Application Period: students must apply for the scholarship in their University application.
Eligibility:
Students must be from a developing country in Asia and Africa.
Students should demonstrate their high potential to become a female leader.
Full tuition fee (including admission fee), on-campus housing fee, plus stipend.
 
International Exchange Scholarship (IES)
 
Application Period: students must apply for the scholarship in their University application.
Eligibility:
Students are deemed capable of contributing to international exchange in education.
Students should keep their GPA above the minimum requirement to maintain their scholarship.
The benefit varies from full-tuition-fee exemption for four years to half-tuition-fee exemption for one year.
 
International Exchange M (merit-based)
 
Application Period: automatically selected without additional application
Eligibility:
Undergraduate students who have foreign nationals earned 15 credit hour without failure in the previous semester, and whose GPA is over 3.00 (out of 4.30).
Among the students who pass the qualification above, those who have higher GPA have priority to be selected.
If the students take Korean language courses, they can be selected even though they take 12 credit hours.
The University limit the scholarship to those who have the TOPIK level 4 or above.
 
International Exchange N (need-based)
 
Eligibility:
Students must earn 10 credit hours in the previous semester and their GPA must be over 2.00 (out of 4.30).
Students must have difficulty in paying the tuition fee.
 
JAYANG Young-soo Noh Fellowship for Korean Studies major students
 
Eligibility:
Jayang YS Noh scholarship is only for Korean Studies major students.
In the beginning of each semester from fall 2016, Department Chair can recommend one student for this fellowship.
Amount: 600,000 won for one semester
 
Outside Scholarships
 
외국인우수자비유학생 지원(NIIED 국립국제교육원)
 
             Application Period: mid-January early March [the exact date may differ every year]
             Eligibility:
An international student who is enrolled more than for one year in South Korean undergraduate program.
Cumulative GPA must be 80 percent or higher.
GPA in the previous semester must be 80 percent or higher.
Level 4 or higher on the TOPIK test.
