Welcome to Korean Studies Undergraduate Program at Ewha

WHAT IS KOREAN STUDIES?
The Korean Studies B.A. Program is the University’s new interdisciplinary field of education and research. It began in spring 2015 given the growing interest and demand on undergraduate education and academic researches about Korea: its traditional and modern cultures, literature, history, economy, society, politics and religions.

WHAT CAN I STUDY AT THE DEPARTMENT OF KOREAN STUDIES?
The B.A. degree program encourages students to think beyond conventional disciplinary lines and to have a basic and strong core of knowledge regarding to Korea as one geographic area of the world. Upon acquiring the fundamental knowledge about Korea and Korean culture that require good skills of Korean language, students are encouraged to design their own field of expertise and develop their particular interests. We have two core faculty members in Korean literature and history and twelve affiliated faculties in religion, anthropology, sociology, politics, gender studies, North Korean studies, and so on.
